1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to the interior design, fabrication, civil and project management services provided by Clayot Interiors (“Clayot”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
For each project, the signed quotation or agreement sets out the specific scope, price, schedule and payment terms. If anything in that document differs from these terms, the signed document applies.
2. Consultations and site visits
Initial consultations are free and carry no obligation. Site visits, measurements and concept discussions do not create a contract until you accept a written quotation.
Measurements taken during a site visit are for estimation. Final measurements are confirmed before production.
3. Quotations and pricing
Quotations are itemised and list the materials, finishes, hardware and work included. Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, as material prices can change.
Work not listed in the quotation, such as additional furniture, structural changes discovered on site, or changes in materials you request, is treated as a variation and quoted separately before we proceed.
Prices include applicable taxes only where the quotation says so.
4. Design and approvals
We prepare 2D layouts and 3D visualisations and revise them with you. Production starts only after you approve the final drawings, materials and colours in writing (including by WhatsApp or email).
3D renders are a close representation of the finished space. Natural materials such as wood veneer and stone, and laminate or paint shades, can vary slightly from what is shown on screen or in samples.
Changes requested after approval may affect cost and timeline, and any furniture already cut or produced may be charged.
5. Payments
Payments are made in stages linked to project milestones, as set out in your quotation. Work on each stage begins once the corresponding payment is received.
Delays in payment may pause work and move the handover date. Material and fabrication costs already incurred are payable even if a project is cancelled.
6. Timelines and site access
We give you a project schedule with your quotation and keep you updated as work progresses. Timelines depend on timely approvals, payments, site readiness and access to the site.
We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as material shortages, strikes, extreme weather, power or water outages, government restrictions, or work by other contractors on site.
You agree to provide safe access to the site, electricity and water during working hours, and any society or building permissions needed for the work.
7. Materials and third-party products
We use the brands and grades of board, laminate and hardware listed in your quotation. If an item becomes unavailable, we will propose an equivalent or better alternative for your approval.
Appliances, fittings and other third-party products are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties. We will help you raise a claim with the manufacturer where needed.
8. Workmanship, warranty and after-service
Any warranty on our workmanship, and its period, is stated in your quotation or handover documents.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, water leakage or seepage from the building, pest attack, unauthorised alterations or repairs by others, or normal wear and tear.
If you notice a problem, contact us with photos and we will arrange an inspection.
9. Handover
At handover we walk through the completed work with you and note any snag items to be fixed. The project is treated as handed over once the snag list is resolved or you start using the space, whichever is earlier.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel a project by informing us in writing. You will be charged for design work completed, materials purchased or produced, and work carried out up to the date of cancellation. Any amount paid beyond that will be refunded.
We may suspend or end a project if payments remain overdue or the site is not available for an extended period, after giving you written notice.
11. Designs and content
Designs, drawings and 3D visualisations we create remain our intellectual property until the project is paid in full, and may not be shared with other contractors for execution without our consent.
We may photograph completed projects for our portfolio and social media. We will not show your name, address or any personal details, and you may ask us not to publish photos of your home.
All text, images and graphics on this website belong to Clayot Interiors unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied without permission.
12. Use of this website
The website is for general information about our services. Images of past projects are for illustration and do not form part of any quotation. We try to keep the site accurate but do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always available.
Links to third-party sites such as WhatsApp and Instagram are governed by those sites’ own terms.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will first be discussed in good faith; if unresolved, it is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Palakkad, Kerala.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Changes do not affect a project already under a signed quotation.
